LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), January 30 (SeeNews) – Gains in the share price of pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG] helped the blue-chip SBITOP index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) continue its winning streak on Thursday, bourse data showed.
Krka's shares rose 2.96% to a closing price of 76.4 euro. The company generated more than half of Thursday’s total turnover – of 1.11 million euro. Total regulated market daily turnover rose to 1.48 million euro ($1.6 million) from 1.28 million euro on Wednesday.
Krka group recorded a consolidated net profit of 242.1 million euro in 2019, up 39% on the year, the company said in a separate statement earlier in the day, citing preliminary estimates of unaudited data.
Chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] led the blue-chip losers, closing 0.77% lower at 194.5 euro.
The SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and capitalised stocks on the stock exchange in Ljubljana, rose 1.10% to a closing value of 975.26 points on Thursday.
