November 5 (SeeNews) - Swiss-based developer of wind projects in Romania Eolica Dobrogea said four wind farms with a total capacity of 80 megawatts (MW) in Romania, which it has sold to Spain's Iberdrola Renovables, received generation licences.
The four wind parks at Mihai Viteazu, in southeastern Romania, are now entitled to full remuneration under the Romanian energy law which means that the producer receives for each produced megawatt hour (MWh) two green certificates, Eolica Dobrogea said in a statement on Friday. "Together with the remuneration coming from the spot market, this makes up a total amount of 120-140 euro ($155-181) per produced MWh, depending on the actual market situation," it added.
The Romanian Energy Regulatory Authority, ANRE, granted Iberdrola Renovables, a subsidiary of Spanish power utility Iberdrola, the licence on October 31 and qualified the Spanish firm as a renewable producer.
The four wind parks, which Swiss company NEK Umwelttechnik developed for Eolica Dobrogea, become operational in the spring.
