November 30 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Serbia in the first ten months of 2021 rose 80.9% year-on-year to 719,495, statistical office data showed.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in Serbia grew 84.2% to 2,018,346 in the first ten months.
In October alone, the number of foreign tourists who visited Serbia more than doubled on an annual basis to 89,314.
Bosnia and Herzegovina was Serbia's biggest feeder market in the first ten months of 2021, with 84,953 tourists, up 83.9% on the year. Citizens of Russia followed, with a total of 50,684 visits, up 211.2%. Visitors from Germany came third, up 122.6% to 49,986.
The number of domestic tourists increased by 19.5% on the year to 1,476,457 in the first ten months of 2021, taking the total number of tourists to 2,195,952, up 34.5%.
