BELGRADE (Serbia), October 31 (SeeNews) – The number of foreign tourists who visited Serbia in September grew 14.2% on the year to 174,166, statistical office data showed on Wednesday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in Serbia rose by 14.2% year-on-year, to 341,609 in September, according to data posted on the website of Serbia's statistical office.
In the first nine months of 2018, the total number of foreign tourist arrivals rose 14.8% year-on-year to 1,326,350, while the total number of overnights spent by foreign tourists added 16% to 2,850,002.
China was Serbia's biggest feeder market in September, with 12,552 tourists, up 97.2% on the year. Bosnian citizens followed, up 19.1% to 10,945. Visitors from Germany came third, up 12.4% to 10,098.
The number of domestic tourists increased by 7.4% on the year to 139,785 in September, taking the total number of tourists to 313,951, up 11.1%.
