March 14 (SeeNews) - Foreign tourist arrivals to North Macedonia totalled 24,624 in January, up from 18,535 in the same month a year earlier, the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in North Macedonia rose to 44,352 in January 2023 from 37,892 in January 2022, Makstat said in a statement.
Out of the total number of foreign tourists who visited North Macedonia in January, 17.7% came from Turkey, 11.2% from Greece and 11.2% from Serbia.
Domestic tourists numbered 18,760 in January, down from 20,800 in January 2022, as they spent 44,283 overnights, lower compared with 49,215 a year earlier.
