May 31 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Montenegro in April rose 58% on the year to 99,955, the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.
The total number of tourists who stayed in the country in April increased by an annual 56% to 112,560, the statistical office said in a monthly report.
Tourist overnights increased to 305,836 from 199,774 in April 2022.
Visitors from Germany accounted for 13% of tourist overnights spent in Montenegro in April, followed by tourists from Serbia with an 11% share, France with 10%, the United Kingdom with 8% and Kosovo with 4%.
Seaside resorts attracted 80.5% of all overnight stays, followed by the capital Podgorica with 12.1% and mountain resorts with 3.2% and other resorts with 4.2%.
