November 30 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Montenegro in October stood at 36,964, up from 8,236 in the same month of 2020, data from the country's statistical office showed on Tuesday.
The total number of tourists who stayed in the country in October increased to 45,665 from 12,558, the office said in a statement.
Tourist overnights in October totalled 139,633, up from 44,485.
Visitors from Germany accounted for 15.5% of all overnights in October, followed by tourists from Serbia with a 9.7% share, France with 9.4%, Russia with 7.5%, Bosnia and Herzegovina with 3.9%, and Turkey with 3.3%.
Seaside resorts accounted for 77% of all overnight stays, followed by the country's capital with 13.7%, mountain resorts with 4.9% and other tourist resorts with 4.4%.
