February 28 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Bosnia's Federation in January totalled 37,577, up 28.5% compared with the same month a year earlier, according to figures released by the entity's statistical office on Tuesday.
Foreign tourists spent 88,626 overnights in the Federation in January, an annual increase of 27.1%, the Federation's statistical office said in a monthly report.
The total number of tourists who visited the Federation in January was 60,993, up 15.2% on the year.
Total tourist overnights increased 18.9% on the year to 136,755 in January.
In January the most foreign visitors to the Federation came from Croatia (13,939), followed by tourists from Serbia (4,460) and Turkey (2,957).
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
