January 25 (SeeNews) - Albania was visited by 7.5 million foreign tourists in 2022, up 32.6% compared with the previous year, the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.
Domestic tourists rose 39.1% on the year to nearly 5.5 million in 2022, the statistical office said in a statement.
Overall, the total number of domestic and foreign tourists reached 13 million in 2022, up 35.3% from a year earlier.
In December alone, foreign tourist arrivals rose to 391,565 from 267,409 in December 2021. Overall, the total number of domestic and foreign tourists rose to 965,495 in the month under review, from 667,432 a year earlier.
