September 13 (SeeNews) - The flow of foreign remittances to Albania dropped by 41.9% year-on-year to 171.6 million euro ($202.1 million) in the second quarter of 2021, according to central bank data.
Money sent home by Albanian citizens living abroad in the April-June period edged up 1.8% compared with the first quarter of 2021, Bank of Albania said in a current account report.
The flow of foreign remittances to Albania decreased to 673.4 million euro in 2020, compared to 701.9 million euro in 2019.
