February 8 (SeeNews) - A total of 82 foreign cruise ships made 632 journeys to Croatian seaports last year, rebounding from the same period of 2021 when only 36 cruises visited the Adriatic country on 208 journeys due to COVID-19-related restrictions, the country's statistical office said.
There were some 634,000 passengers on board the cruise ships that visited Croatia in 2022, up 193,900 in 2021, the statistical office said in a monthly report on Tuesday.
Compared to 2019, the number of journeys of foreign cruise vessels was lower by 9.7% in 2022, and the number of passengers on board on those vessels was down 43.5%.
Last year, foreign cruise ships on journeys to Croatia visited the port of Dubrovnik 408 times, Split followed with 272 visits, Zadar with 143 ones and Hvar with 98 visits.
