SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), June 24 (SeeNews) – FlyBosnia airline, established by Saudi-based Al Shiddi business group, intends to start services soon from Sarajevo to London, Rome and Paris, local media reported.
The flights to London and Paris from Bosnia's capital will be the first after a pause of more than 10 years, news portal klix.ba reported on Sunday.
FlyBosnia was registered in November 2017. The local representative of Al Shiddi, Nudzejma Skenderovic, and its director Sulaiman Abdullah Al Shiddi are listed as the founders of the airline.
Bosnia doesn't have its own airline, after the country's flag carrier BH Airlines first lost its operating licence and then its assets over large debts last year.
The Al Shiddi Group is the largest Saudi investor in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It owns Sarajevo City Center, Hotel Bristol Sarajevo and luxury residential complex Poljine Hills.
FlyBosnia currently owns two Airbus A319 aircraft as the fleet will continue to grow. The company plans to have eight aircraft by 2023, klix.ba said.
