PODGORICA (Montenegro), February 11 (SeeNews) – Dutch company Damen and Italy’s Fincantieri filed bids in a pre-qualification tender for the sale of the state-owned 61.57% stake in Montenegrin shipyard Jadransko Brodogradiliste A.D. Bijela [MNG:JABD], Podgorica-based media said on Tuesday.
The deadline for sending bids expires on February 17.

Both companies have submitted documents that attest that they fulfill the criteria required to participate in the tender, news portal Vijesti (www.vijesti.me) said, adding that the information was confirmed by the tender commission.
The privatisation council, which called the pre-qualification tender for the sale of majority stake in Jadransko Brodogradiliste on January 21, said at the time that shortlisted candidates would be invited to submit their final offers by April 15.
Bidders are expected to invest at least 15 million euro ($20.4 million) in fixed assets of the company over a period of three years, according to the tender conditions.
Jadransko Brodogradiliste is located in the Adriatic town of Bijela.
