October 23 (SeeNews) - German cosmetics and consumer goods retailer dm-drogerie markt said on Tuesday its sales revenue in Serbia increased 29.3% to 10.9 billion dinars ($105.3 million/91.8 million euro) in financial year 2017/2018 ended in September.
The company invested 660 million dinars in the modernisation of eight stores throughout Serbia, ten new openings, and in the expansion of its logistics centre in the country, dm said in an e-mailed statement.
"In the previous year we have been working intensively on innovating our products and services, as well as introducing new brands. Determination and commitment to the local market resulted in over 12 million purchases made in the past business year, which confirms the trust that we have gained in our customers," Alexandra Olivera Korichi, dm director for the Serbian and Macedonian markets, said in the statement.
In the coming period, the dm brand in Serbia will continue to invest dynamically in opening new and modernising existing infrastructure, and a number of initiatives to support the community are also in the pipeline, Korichi said.
Dm-drogerie runs 91 stores located in 25 Serbian cities, employing 850 people.
