January 4 (SeeNews) - Croatian diversified group Djuro Djakovic [ZSE:DDJH-R-A] led the blue-chip gainers on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) on Wednesday, bourse data showed.
Djuro Djakovic's shares closed 3.86% higher at 47.49 kuna, as 3,149 units changed hands. The company announced on Wednesday that it has agreed a 23 million kuna ($3.2 million/3.03 million euro) contract for the supply of additional tank wagons to France's Atir Rail.
Hotel operator Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP-R-A] generated the highest trading turnover of 2.23 million kuna on the ZSE on Wednesday. The hotel operator's shares closed 0.08% lower at 36.10 kuna.
Port operator Luka Rijeka [ZSE:LKRI-R-A] paced the blue-chip decliners, as its share price fell 2.89% to 47.09 kuna.
The bourse's total trading turnover fell to 31.3 million kuna on Wednesday from 35.8 million kuna on Tuesday.
The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index of the ZSE retreated 0.19% to 2,022.98 points, after gaining 1.67% on Tuesday when it reached 2,025.19, its highest value since March 23, 2013.
The narrower of the bourse's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, edged down 0.11% to 1,172.32 points after increasing 1.44% in the previous trading session.
The fixed-income CROBIS index added 0.31% to 108.8101 points.
