October 26 (SeeNews) - Germany's largest bank by market capitalization Deutsche Bank will begin expanded operations in Romania next year but plans no acquisitions in that country at the moment, Dow Jones reported on Monday.
There is still potential in emerging market economies, where revenue has jumped 42% since the start of 2009, Dow Jones quoted management board member and head of regional management at Deutsche Bank, Juergen Fitschen, as saying at a conference in Frankfurt.
Fitschen also said he didn't rule out further acquisitions in Romania, even though none are planned at the moment.
Deutsche Bank is present on the Romanian market only with a representative office.
