May 15 (SeeNews) - Croatia’s technology company Rimac Group has presented its energy savings solutions to Bulgaria's economy minister Rosen Hristov and they discussed a potential opening of a manufacturing facility in Bulgaria, the economy ministry in Sofia said.
Specific steps to further explore that opportunity have been agreed, including a visit to Bulgaria in August, the ministry said in a press release following a visit by Hristov to Croatia last week.

Earlier this month, Rimac Group announced that that its fully-owned subsidiary Rimac Technology has a launched a new brand, Rimac Energy, leveraging its expertise in making electric vehicle technology to create stationary energy storage systems (ESS), which are essential in utilising the full potential of renewable power generation and driving the decarbonization of energy networks.
Rimac Energy will produce its pilot systems for selected customers this year, with commissioning in 2024. High volume ESS production shall begin in 2025 at the Rimac Campus in Croatia, scaling to more than 10GWh of annual production.
The Rimac Group, led by CEO Mate Rimac, is the majority shareholder in the Bugatti Rimac joint venture, with a 55% stake and German sports carmaker Porsche with 45%.
