December 30 (SeeNews) - Initial inspections have found no damage to the facilities of Croatian fertiliser producer Petrokemija [ZSE:PTKM-R-A] from the strong earthquake that shook the central part of the country on Tuesday, the company said.
In addition, no employee has been injured in the earthquake, Petrokemija said in a statement on Tuesday.
Key production facilities had been shut down earlier due to a planned overhaul, which contributed to their safety during the earthquake, the company added.
Petrokemija also said it will carry out a more detailed inspection of its key facilities on Wednesday.
A 6.2-magnitude quake hit the town of Petrinja at 1219 CET on Tuesday, causing significant material damage to buildings and leaving at least six dead.
Petrokemija is based in the town of Kutina, some 60 kilometres from Petrinja.
