October 20 (SeeNews) - Croatian building materials producer Nexe Group said its cement factory in Nasice has completed a 3.3 million euro ($3.5 million) energy efficiency project, co-financed with 1.3 million euro by the European Union.
The project, which was launched at the beginning of 2022, included a number of activities at the production facility and other buildings at the site which boosted the usage of energy from renewable sources and reduced C02 emissions, Nexe CEO, Ivan Ergovic, said in a press release earlier this month. The project is one of the steps to achieve the group’s strategic aim for transition to green energy, he added.
