October 9 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange dropped due to losses in Podravka and several other blue chips, amidst higher turnover, bourse data showed on Monday.
The total on-exchange turnover reached 2.03 million euro ($2.1 million) from just 584,000 euro on Friday.
The bourse's 20-share benchmark CROBEX fell 1.77% to close at 2,367.09 points.
The narrower equity index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten issuers in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, lost 2.10% to finish at 1,428.26 points.
Food and pharmaceuticals manufacturer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] was the most traded company with a turnover of 898,300 euro. Its shares shed 5.04% to end at 132 euro.
Preferred shares of diversified holding company Adris [ZSE:ADRS] fell 2.41%, shares of ICT solutions provider Ericsson Nikola Tesla went down 3.19% and shares of software developer Span [ZSE:SPAN] ended 2.55% lower.
