February 28 (SeeNews) - Croatia's Koncar Group is interested in participating in projects for overhaul of hydro power plants (HPPs) in Montenegro, the president of the company's management board, Gordan Kolak, has said.
Koncar also wishes to contribute to the development of Montenegro's electricity transmission and distribution, as well as railway transport and infrastructure, Kolak said on Thursday, according to a press release issued by Montenegro's government.
The investment cycle in Montenegro's energy sector in the next five years is estimated at about 300 million euro ($331 million) and the country considers cooperation with companies like Koncar to be important because of the knowledge that comes with it, Montenegrin prime minister Dusko Markovic said during a meeting with Kolak in Podgorica.
The Koncar Group is made up of electrical equipment manufacturer Koncar Elektroindustrija [ZSE:KOEI] as group leader and 14 units. The group had 3,391 employees at the end of September 2019.
