December 31 (SeeNews) - Croatia's state-controlled oil pipeline operator Jadranski Naftovod (Janaf) [ZSE:JNAF-R-A] said that the strong earthquake that shook the central part of the country on Tuesday did not cause any damage on the pipeline and storage system of the company's terminal in Sisak.
The earthquake caused only minor damages to the terminal's administration building and workshop, without impacting the buildings' structure, Janaf said in a statement on Wednesday.
The company's management has decided to assist its employees in repairing their damaged homes, it also said.
Furthermore, Janaf said on Thursday it will donate 3 million kuna ($487,400/397,500 euro) to the government for rehabilitation of houses in the cities affected by the devastating earthquake.
A 6.2-magnitude quake hit the town of Petrinja at 1219 CET on Tuesday, causing significant material damage to buildings and leaving at least six dead.
