Croatia’s End-July Foreign Debt Rises to 40.8 Bln Euro from 39 Bln Euro at End-2008

ZAGREB (Croatia), September 25 (SeeNews) – Croatia's end-July foreign debt rose to 40.8 billion euro ($60.3 billion), from 39 billion euro at the end of 2008, the country's central bank said.

Banks' external debt totalled 10.4 billion euro at the end of July, up from 10.1 billion euro at the end of December, the central bank said in a statement posted on its website.

The Croatian government's foreign debt totalled 4.1 billion euro at the end of July, slightly down from 4.2 billion euro at the end of 2008.
