December 9 (SeeNews) - Croatia's trade gap widened to 45.99 billion kuna ($6.5 billion/6.1 billion euro) in the first ten months of 2016, increasing from 45.31 billion kuna a year earlier, the statistics office announced on Friday citing preliminary data.
Croatia’s exports increased by 2.9% on the year, reaching 74.5 billion kuna, while imports rose by 2.4% to 120.5 billion kuna, the statistics office said in a statement.
The country's exports to the EU totalled 49.6 billion kuna in the review period, up from 48.1 billion kuna a year earlier.
Imports from the EU grew to 94.3 billion kuna, from 91.5 billion kuna.
