June 2 (SeeNews) - Croatian businessman Zvonko Kotarac opened on June 1 a 26 million euro ($29.1 million) hotel in the coastal city of Split, local media reported.
The Amphora hotel has 206 rooms and two restaurants, a wellness centre spreading over 2,000 square metres, as well as a fitness and beach club, news business daily Poslovni Dnevnik reported on Monday.
The hotel also has a congress hall with a capacity to accommodate 500 people.
It employs 80 full-time workers and 40 seasonal workers.
Kotarac also owns a five-star hotel, Atrium, in Split, according to the report.
Split is Croatia's second-largest city with a population of some 250,000 people.
