November 6 (SeeNews) - Only 26 journeys of foreign vessels on cruise were registered in Croatia in the nine months through September, down 95.4% year-on-year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the national statistical office said on Friday.
The number of passengers on cruise ships to Croatia decreased by 99.5% to 4,138 in the period under review, the office of statistics said in a statement.
Ships sailing under Maltese colours to Croatia in the nine-month period made almost half of the total cruises - 12.
The biggest number of passengers - 2,690, travelled onboard vessels sailing under the Italian flag.
The Dubrovnik-Neretva county was the most visited by foreign cruise vessels in January-September, followed by the Istria county.
