- Croatia's top dairy company, Dukat, said its net profit fell 9.6% to 126.5 million kuna in the first nine months of the year.
- Commercial banks in Croatia posted a combined profit of 3.44 billion kuna in the first nine months of 2009, down 13.56% from a year earlier.

- Croatia's biggest retailer, Konzum, saw its profit drop by 44% to 125.4 million kuna through September due to difficult market conditions. Total revenues were up 3.0% to 9.5 billion kuna. The management expects to achieve the planned year-end results despite the current business downturn.
