- The EU General Affairs and External Relations Council adopted the financial package proposed by the European Commission for the first two years of Croatia’s European Union (EU) membership. The package was prepared based on the assumption that Croatia will become a member in January 2012. The EU budget allocation for Croatia for 2012 and 2013 is worth 3.568 billion euro.

- Croatia and its state-owned companies have borrowed around 2.0 billion euro from different foreign sources in the past four months, and they are preparing for new credit lines.
