May 31 (SeeNews) - Croatia's annual gross domestic product (GDP) growth quickened to 2.7% in the first quarter from 1.9% in the preceding quarter, the country's statistics office said on Tuesday, confirming its flash estimate, issued last week.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, Croatia's economy expanded by 2.3% year-on-year and 0.6% quarter-on-quarter, following a 2.0% annual growth and a 0.6% quarterly contraction in the fourth quarter of 2015, the stats agency said.
At current prices, Croatia's national output stood at 77.4 billion kuna ($11.7 billion/10.3 billion euro) in January-March, down from 83.6 billion kuna in October-December 2015.
