ZAGREB (Croatia), July 13 (SeeNews) – Croatian state-owned railway company HZ Infrastruktura called on Wednesday a tender for preparation of documents for the upgrade and construction works on a railway section in the central part of the country.
The project refers to preparation of design and other project documents for upgrade, construction of second track and construction of new double-track line on sub-sections of railway line section Hrvatski Leskovac–Karlovac, HZ Infrastruktura said in service procurement notice published by the EU’s Tenders Electronic Daily (TED).
TED is a supplement to the European Union's Official Journal.
The Hrvatski Leskovac–Karlovac single-track railway line is 41.8 kilometres long.
The project will be financed by the European Union's Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA). The maximum budget for the project is set at 7.3 million euro ($10.2 million).
"On the basis of the applications received, at least four and at most eight candidates will be invited to submit detailed tenders for this contract," the service procurement notice said.
The deadline for receipt of applications is August 12, while the provisional date of invitations to tender is set at September 29.
