January 4 (SeeNews) - Telecoms operator Crnogorski Telekom [MNG:TECG] led the blue-chip gainers on the Montenegrin stock exchange in December, as stock indices ended mixed, bourse data indicated.
The blue-chip index of the Montenegro Stock Exchange, MNSE10, closed up 0.15% in December at 764.72 points.
The benchmark MONEX index, which tracks the 20 most representative shares on the Montenegro Stock Exchange, went down 6.59% in December and closed at 9,867.37 points.
A total of 31,966 of Crnogorski Telekom's shares changed hands in turnover of 37,689 euro in December. Crnogorski Telekom won 4.53% to 1.179 euro.
Port operator Luka Bar [MNG:LUBA] paced the blue-chip decliners in December, as its share price fell 17.24% on the month to 0.3146 euro. A total of 30,984 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 9,746 euro.
The bourse's total turnover fell in December to 656,817 euro ($740,787) from 5.891 million euro a month earlier.
A total of 113 transactions were concluded on the bourse in Podgorica in December, versus 124 in November. Stock market capitalisation was 3.189 billion euro at the end of December, down from 3.136 billion euro a month earlier.
