July 20 (SeeNews) - Cosmetics producer Bulgarian Rose [BUL:ROZA] on Wednesday reported sales revenue of 2.94 million levs ($1.53 million/1.5 million euro) for the first six months of 2022, above its 2.87 million levs forecast.
Bulgarian Rose booked a preliminary gross profit of 214,000 levs from January until June, the company said in a trading update. This compares to preliminary gross profit of 159,000 levs in the first six months of 2021.
In June alone, the cosmetics maker generated a profit of 105,000 levs on revenue of 491,000 levs.
July sales are projected at 260,000 levs, while total sales for the first seven months of 2022 are expected to amount to 3.2 million levs, the company added.
Karlovo-based Bulgarian Rose, established in 1948, manufactures cosmetic products for face, body, and hair using rose oil and locally-grown herbs. The company is part of local blue-chip industrial group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH].
