April 8 (SeeNews) - Serbia has confirmed three more deaths from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), bringing the death toll to 61, while the total number of infected people rose to 2,447 as of April 7, the country's health ministry said.
Two men and one woman at an average age of 63 years with comorbidities passed away in the 24 hours until 3 pm on April 7, the health ministry said in a statement on Monday.
The country reported 247 new COVID-19 cases on April 6.
Serbia has tested a total of 9,626 persons since the outbreak of COVID-19, the ministry added.
Health minister Zlatibor Loncar announced the first case of COVID-19 in the country on March 6.
