January 19 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s electricity production edged up by an annual 0.21% to 2,183 GWh in the January 1 - 17 period of 2021, according to data from the country's Electricity System Operator (ESO).
Domestic power consumption dropped 8.10% to 2,030 GWh in the review period, data from ESO's weekly bulletin showed.
Bulgaria recorded a power trade surplus of 153 GWh in the review period from a deficit of 31 GWh in the same period of 2020.
The volume of renewable energy in the transmission system decreased 18.68% year-on-year to 53 GWh, while the volume of renewable energy in the distribution system dropped 22.72% to 66 GWh.
