November 24 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s electricity production fell by an annual 8.24% to 35,791 GWh in the January 1 - November 22 period of 2020, according to data from the country's Electricity System Operator (ESO).
Domestic power consumption fell 3.14% to 32,591 GWh, data from ESO's weekly bulletin showed.
Electricity exports exceeded imports by 3,200 GWh during the review period, which represents a 40.28% year-on-year decrease in the power trade surplus.
The volume of renewable energy in the transmission system increased 11.53% year-on-year to 1,189 GWh, while the volume of renewable energy in the distribution system rose 6.77% to 1,772 GWh.
