July 23 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian pork producer Svinecomplex Nikolovo [BUL:6SN] said on Tuesday that the Food and Safety Agency has confirmed on July 19 the presence of African swine fever in a sample from its farm.
All animals at Svinecomplex Nikolovo's farm will be culled, the company said in a bourse filing.

According to data from the Food and Safety Agency, there are some 17,000 pigs at the farm.
On July 19, Svinecomplex Nikolovo announced that local meat and animal feed producer Viand has acquired a 65.22% stake in the company from local Pimaro Bulgaria and Hybrid for an undisclosed price.
Pimaro Bulgaria sold a 33.06% stake in Svinecomplex Nikolovo, while Hybrid divested a 32.16% stake.
Svinecomplex Nikolovo's last trading price on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange values the 65.22% stake at over 7.5 million levs ($4.3 million/3.8 million euro).
