March 29 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian Sopharma Trading [BUL:SFT] said on Wednesday that its standalone pre-tax net profit jumped by 55% on the year in the first two months of 2023, reaching 7.51 million levs ($4.16 million/3.84 million euro).
Sales revenue increased by an annual 31% to 209.2 million levs in the January-February period, the pharmaceuticals trader said in a stock exchange filing.
In February alone, Sopharma Trading’s pretax profit went up by 19% year-on-year to 2.81 million levs, as sales advanced by 22% to 97.64 million levs.
Sopharma Trading is a unit of Bulgarian pharmaceuticals producer Sopharma [BUL:SFA], which held a stake of 87.25% in the company at the end of last year.
As of 1017 CET on Wednesday, shares in Sopharma Trading traded flat at 5.96 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
