May 31 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian pharmaceuticals trader Sopharma Trading [BUL:SFT] said that its consolidated pre-tax profit jumped by an annual 40% year-on-year to some 14.2 million levs ($7.75 million/7.3 million euro) in the first four months of 2022.
Over the same period, Sopharma Trading's aggregate sales revenue grew 22% on the year to 412.9 million levs, the company said in a stock exchange filing on Tuesday.
In April alone, the company's pre-tax profit more than doubled, to 3.21 million levs from some 1.69 million levs a year earlier, as sales rose 18% to 98.5 million levs.
Shares in Sopharma Trading closed without change at 5.85 levs on Tuesday, Sofia bourse data showed.
Sopharma Trading is a unit of Bulgarian pharmaceuticals producer Sopharma [BUL:SFA]. The company supplies pharmacies and medical establishments, and covers the Bulgarian and Serbian markets through three regional distribution centres.
