March 8 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian organic foods producer and distributor Smart Organic [BUL:SO] said it is proposing to its shareholders to distribute of a gross dividend of 0.22 levs ($0.12/0.11 euro) per share for 2023.
The company plans to pay out as dividend 2.27 million levs out of its net profit of 12.6 million levs reported for last year, Smart Organic said in a bourse filing on Thursday. The remaining 10.3 million levs will be retained as undistributed profit.
Smart Organic will also request to move its shares to the regulated market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange and increase its capital to some 11.34 million levs via a new share offering.
The proposals will be put to the vote at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders scheduled for March 19.
The company distributed a gross dividend of 0.20 levs per share for 2022, or 2.06 million levs in total, according to previously disclosed information.
Shares in Smart Organic last traded on Wednesday when they closed at 20.80 levs on the BEAM growth market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
