December 12 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian mirrors and glass fibre manufacturer Simat [BUL:SIMT] said on Tuesday that it will seek approval from its shareholders to change the company's name and activity.
Simat plans to rebrand as Synergy Invest Holding and shift its focus to investments in companies in the renewable energy sector, financial assets, real estate for sale and rent, as well as the development and operation of industrial zones, the company said in a bourse filing.

The proposals will be put to the vote at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on January 12, 2024.
Gabrovo-based Simat produces glass fibres and veils, glass fabrics for insulation in construction and water transport, as well as silver-plated crystal mirrors, according to its website.
Shares in Simat last traded at 3.20 levs ($1.76/1.64 euro) on the BaSE market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, bourse data show.
