December 10 (SeeNews) - The revenue from tourist overnights spent in Bulgaria rose by 4.0% year-on-year in October, reaching51.9 million levs ($29.4 million/26.5 million euro), the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.
Revenues from overnights spent by Bulgarian tourists increased by 10.4% year-on-year in October, while revenues from overnights of foreign nationals fell by 1.3%, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a statement.
The total number of tourist overnights spent in Bulgaria edged up by 0.2% to 910,400 in the review period.
The largest increase in the number of overnights, by 2.9%, was registered by four-star and five-star hotels which reported 37.9% of total overnights spent by Bulgarian tourists and 76.0% of the overnights of international visitors.
A total of 455,500 tourists stayed in accommodation facilities in Bulgaria in October, up by 3.8% year-on-year.
