September 16 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Plovdiv municipality said on Monday it has signed two road upgrade contracts worth a total of 5 million levs ($2.8 million/ 2.5 million euro) with local companies Dragiev & Co and Patengineering.
The deals, priced at 2.5 million levs each, were signed on August 12 and August 28 with Dragiev & Co and Patengineering, respectively, the municipality said in a notice published on the county's procurement agency website.
The companies are responsible for the maintenance of the asphalt pavement and repairs on the street network in several of the city's districts.
Dragiev & Co and Patengineering were selected winners in a tender opened by the Plovdiv municipality in December 2018. A total of five bidders submitted their offers for each of the two lots in the public procurement procedure.
Plovdiv-based Dragiev & Co's main activities include design and construction. The company has a registered capital of 6,000 levs, according to commercial register data.
Patengineering, also based in Bulgaria's second largest city, is active in the design and construction of buildings, roads and hydro power facilities. The company is solely owned by Nedyalko Bekirov and has a registered capital of 5,000 levs.
