December 6 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian municipality of Plovdiv has invited bids for finishing construction works on a multi-purpose sports hall, a notice in the country’s public procurement agency showed.
The sports facility is designed for up to 9,000 seats and spreads on a total area of approximately 37,000 square metres, comprising several gyms, restaurants, recreational areas and parking, read the notice published at the agency’s website last week.
Eligible tenderers have to give evidence for overall revenue from construction works in the past three years of at least 105 million levs ($70.1 million/53.7 million euro), a positive financial result for the same period and a guarantee of 9.0 million levs earmarked for the implementation of the construction works.
Furthermore, the tenderers must have completed at least two sports hall construction projects in the last five years, of which at least one with a total area equal or bigger than 37,000 square metres.
Bids have to be submitted by January 14 and will be opened on the following day. The deposit guarantee is set at 291,660 levs.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2013, the finance minister Simeon Dyankov said at the annual get-together of business leaders and top government officials in Sofia earlier this month.
