September 27 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian battery manufacturer Monbat [BUL:MONB] said on Monday that its consolidated pre-tax profit from ongoing operations rose by an annual 102.9% in the first eight months of 2021, reaching 16.6 million levs ($9.9 million/8.5 million euro).
Consolidated net sales revenue went up 20.7% on the year to some 229.3 million levs in the eight months through August, the company said in a bourse filing.

Monbat’s consolidated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) went up 33% year-on-year to 32.4 million levs in the review period.
In August alone, Monbat's consolidated profit before taxes from ongoing operations rose by an annual 115.5% to 2.1 million levs. Sales edged up 0.40% to 27.3 million levs.
