June 25 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian state-owned coal mining company Mini Maritsa Iztok said on Thursday that it has signed a 4 million levs ($2.3 million/2 million euro) contract for the purchase of rubber conveyor belts from local car tire maker Medina Med.
The contract was signed on June 23, Mini Maritsa Iztok said in a notice.
Four bidders took part in the tender for the contract.
Mini Maritsa Iztok's coal mines in southern Bulgaria sell their output mainly to three thermal power plants located nearby, two of them owned by ContourGlobal and AES, and one state-owned. The two power plants owned by ContourGlobal and AES generate around 30% of Bulgaria's electricity output.
