SOFIA (Bulgaria), November 10 (SeeNews) – Bulgarian state-owned company Metropoliten, the operator of the Sofia subway, has updated the timeline for design and construction of a 7.0 kilometre section of the capital’s underground railway network, a notice in the European Union’s procurement journal indicated.
The bidding deadline for implementation of the first phase of a project for design and construction of the subway stretch, connecting Botevgradsko shosse boulevard with Ovcha Kupel 1 neighbourhood in south-western Sofia, has now been extended to January 15 from June 12, the notice published in the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) on Saturday showed.
The project is co-financed under the EU-funded operational programme Transport and Transport Infrastructure.
