February 8 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Kozloduy nuclear power plant (NPP) has launched a tender with an estimated value of 400,000 levs ($219,318/204,517euro) for laying a new waterproof coating on the domes of its two operating reactors, official data showed on Wednesday.
Offers can be submitted by March 8, according to data published in the public procurement register.
The work relates to the two operating units of the power plant, Unit 5 and Unit 6, each with a capacity of 1,000 MW. The project involves the laying of a new waterproof coating on the protective concrete cover of the reactors and filling the expansion joints with elastic material.
Recently, Kozloduy nuclear power plant (NPP) signed agreements with France's Framatome and Westinghouse Electric Sweden for the supply of fresh nuclear fuel for its two units. The contracts are in line with NPP Kozloduy’s programme for the diversification of fresh nuclear fuel supplies.
