In response to a SeeNews question, Pinagro said that Convergenze is considering ITST as a potential acquisition target in the medium term, as part of the Italian company's consolidation strategy.
Convergenze and ITST have signed a letter of intent ahead of further potential consolidation in the sector, Italian business newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore reported last week.
Listed on the Euronext Growth exchange in Milan, Convergenze was founded in 2005 and also provides fibre optic services. The company is active in the telecommunications, energy and e-mobility sectors, as a supplier of electricity and natural gas and an operator of electric vehicle charging networks. In its fiscal first half results in October 2022, Convergenze noted the possibility of expanding through the acquisition of sector players with a complementary geographical location.
