January 25 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian cable and wire manufacturer Emka [BUL:EMKA] said on Wednesday that its net profit soared to 11.8 million levs ($6.55 million/6.03 million euro) in 2022 from 6.6 million levs a year earlier.
Emka’s total revenue rose to 163.4 million levs last year from some 139 million levs in 2021, the company said in an interim financial statement. Exports generated 115 million levs of the revenue, while domestic sales contributed 43.6 million levs.
The company’s expenses grew to 150.4 million levs from 131.9 million levs, with expenses for materials rising by 14.3% to 134.4 million levs.
In the last quarter of 2022, Emka installed a new cable insulation line, the company said.
As of 1140 CET on Wednesday, shares in Emka traded 6.06% higher at 3.50 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
