September 20 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian car battery manufacturer Elhim Iskra [BUL:52E] said on Friday that it booked sales revenue of 2.44 million levs ($1.38 million/1.25 million euro) in August, slightly below its forecast for sales of 2.50 million levs.
Elhim Iskra generated accumulated January-August revenue of 24.57 million levs and a gross profit of 688,000 levs, the company said in a bourse filing.

In the first eight months of last year, the company booked sales of 26.32 million levs and a gross profit of 462,000 levs, according to previously reported figures.
The battery maker expects to book revenue of 2.26 million levs in September, down from its September 2018 sales of 2.73 million levs.
Elhim Iskra is part of blue-chip diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:5SR].
The Pazardzhik-based company exports over 90% of its output.
